Standard Russian business visa is issued for up to 90 days and with up to 2 entries per visa. There are also multiple-entry visas valid for 3, 6 or 12 months with unlimited entries and exits.

Students who will be enrolled in a course of study in Russia need to apply for a Russian student visa and need an original official student visa invitation to support the visa application. In order to apply for a Russian student visa, you will need an original invitation provided by the host institution (school or university) in Russia obtained from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The original Russia invitation must be attached to the Russian visa application; scanned, emailed or faxed copies of the Russian student invitation are not accepted. This process can take a long time, so it is important to be in contact with the Russian host institution well in advance so that there is time to obtain the visa.

Entry of a foreigner into the territory of Russia for the purpose of work shall be executed under Russian Work visa only.
